Flooring made from natural fibres will be tough and durable – just as nature intended!

Routine vacuuming is all you need to keep your natural floor looking good. For best results stick to suction-only cleaners, avoiding beater bars, which may cause damage. A barrier mat at entrances is a good idea, which will help to reduce the amount of dirt being walked into an area covered with natural flooring.

Stain Protection

We recommend that you protect Coir, Sisal, Jute and Grass flooring with a special stain inhibitor which can be purchased when you place your order. It has been developed specifically for natural floor coverings and is completely safe. When it is applied, it simply coats each fibre preventing the absorption of stains and dirt ensuring your flooring looks beautiful for longer.

Spills

When spills do occur, as with any floor covering, it is important to tackle them as quickly as possible, using a clean white cloth or kitchen paper to soak up the liquid. Do not use water as this can spread the stain. We also advise our customers to keep the Natural Flooring Cleaning Kit on hand. Available from your Behar store, this includes a specially developed cleansing solution, together with applicators and full instructions on how to deal with a variety of spills.
